Autism news: Preventing tragedy
July 25, 2022
Dear Friends,

As you know, children with autism are more prone to accidents and mishaps than typical children. OCD and other issues can cause a host of problems and make our kids more vulnerable to danger.

In the article I link to below, I tell the story of Mason, who disappeared from his home in Kansas by escaping through an open window.

Tragedy can strike when we least expect it, but there is much we can do to prevent it.

With the beginning of the school year just around the corner, now may be a good time to check around the house or classroom to make sure everything is safe for the kids.

I sent you a link to this article some time ago, but it’s worth rechecking to be sure all is safe for the new school year.

I have a list of safety precautions to look for at the link at the end of this message. If you’re short on time like I am, you could check one item on the list each day.

Warm Regards,

Kay Donato
