Autism news: Teach your child multi-step tasks
September 19, 2022
Dear Friends,

If you’ve ever struggled to teach your child complex tasks such as how to brush teeth or how to get dressed, modeling is a natural, effective way to show them how it’s done. By complex, I mean a task that involves several steps.

But for some children, sometimes modeling isn’t enough to help them learn the procedure.

Another method, called forward chaining, can help by breaking a task into multiple steps.

In the article I link to at the end of this message, I explain further how forward chaining works. Just follow the link to learn more.

Warm Regards,

Kay Donato
