Merry Christmas!

We finally got our tree decorated, and just as I started that project, my son with severe autism said, "Radio!"

What he meant was, he wanted to hear Christmas songs. (How I know this is a long story, but you know how it is when you get what your kids are really saying...)

I was pleasantly surprised that he wanted to get the full experience of enjoying the Christmas spirit...

So don't be surprised that, regardless of how severe your child's disability may be, she very likely understands a lot more than you may think, and she may appreciate the spirit of Christmas in a way that you may not realize.
