Autism news: Teach your child to read beginning today
February 04, 2021
Hello!

I bet you’ve already been teaching reading without knowing it.

Have you ever sung the alphabet song with your child? You know, the ABC song put to the tune of Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star?

Have you ever showed your child the letters of the alphabet or talked about the sounds they make?

If you have, you were teaching your child early reading skills.

So you’re already a reading teacher!

As you can see, it isn’t hard to get your child off to a solid start with learning to read.

And very soon, I plan to have my book on how to teach your child to read available for purchase.

I’ve already finished writing it. All that’s left is formatting it and having a designer create the book cover.

Can you tell I’m excited about this? Reading Revolution: How to Teach Children With Autism to Read outlines how you can make learning to read simple for your child. Learning to read doesn’t have to be complicated for our kids, nor should it be.

In the book, I give you tips for success and show you pitfalls to avoid when teaching reading to a child with autism. And of course, I’ve included step-by-step instructions on exactly how to bring your child from learning the alphabet to reading books.

I’ll make sure you are the first to know when I’ve published it.

In the meantime, you can get started with teaching your child the letters and the sounds they make. There are many ways to do this. You can even find YouTube videos of the alphabet song that can be very helpful.

So there’s no need to wait for my book to be available. Starting today, you can begin teaching your child to read. No special materials or equipment required, and no specialized education needed.

I truly believe that our kids can learn if we give them a chance. And most of the time, they can learn more than we think they can.

All it takes to prove it is to get started and never give up.

Warm Regards,

Kay Donato
